The ISO image must be burned to a CD-R with an ISO aware application such as Nero burning ROM and many others. If you purchased the download version, then you should have received two download links, one for the Ghost installer and the other for an ISO image. Did you purchase the download version of Ghost or the boxed version? If you purchased the boxed version, then the install CD doubles as your Recovery CD.
You need the recovery CD so that you can boot from it. The backups are are doing are just for recovering your hard drive.
